About Seaquam
Seaquam Secondary School is a grade 8-12 public school located in the Sunshine Hills community of Delta, British Colombia. Since its opening in 1977, it has remained one of the highest ranking schools in all of British Colombia. Interestingly, the name Seaquam was chosen by a contest in which students and members of the community participated. The Board of School Trustees chose "Seaquam" in the end, which means 'the sun' or 'sunshine' in the Musqueam language. It is also important that we acknowledge the traditional territory of the Tsawwassen and Musqueam First Nations and all of the Coast Salish peoples who have been stewards of the land our school is built upon since time immemorial.
